ONLINE APPRAISAL SERVICES

We offer a “verbal” appraisal for our online customers:

A Verbal Approximation of Value (VAV) is available for those customers who do not require a written appraisal.  This type of valuation may be useful for those customers who wish to get a general idea of an item's worth.  There is very minimal research involved for this service.

The VAV is not a true appraisal and is only an opinion of value.  It is only for a customer’s personal knowledge.  It may not be used to make financial decisions.

Customer must provide CLEAR photographs, including areas of damage and makers marks.   Customer must provide information such as dimensions, color, and any other pertinent information about the object. 

Customer will receive an email with my opinion of value.  If there is any relevant or interesting information that I can provide without extensive research, this will be included.  Every effort will be made to return the valuation within 72 hours of payment clearing (Personal checks only accepted as payment.  14 business days after receipt of personal check). 

In the rare event that I cannot determine a value from photographs and information provided by the customer a refund will be made in the same manner in which the customer’s original payment was made.

I reserve the right to refuse any request for a VAV.

The customer MUST agree to add my domain (@craigantiques.com) to their “safe” email lists and to accept and return “read requests” since all information and communications will be done via email.  I am not responsible for non-receipt of valuation information.  Customer is responsible for notifying me within 30 days of their original request if they have not received their valuation via email.

Fee:      $25.00 per item, payable in advance
