A first person account of the historic town of Tombstone, Arizona. Colonel William Breakenridge – called Colonel Billy – writes of his experiences in this Old West town and includes such notables as Wyatt Earp and brothers, Doc Holliday, and Geronimo. The author writes from his perspective as a marshall and includes not only a chapter about the fight at OK Corral, but also his experiences with mining, the railroads and train robbers.
Issued in 1982, the book has brown cloth covered boards decorated with the gilt R.R. Donnelley stamp on the front cover and gilt printing on the spine. The top edges of the pages are gilded.
This book is in near fine condition even though it is still wrapped in the original plastic, never having been opened. A close up photo shows “holes” in the plastic cover. This is in the plastic only and there does not appear to be any damage to the cover. There are some whitish spots on the front cover – lower left and on the right edge of the cover that look to be on the actual book – both are visible in the first photo.
Since this book has never been unwrapped, we are selling it As Is, and price reflects such.
