Every hostess needs at least one antique cake stand – and if one is good, two or more is better!
This is a marvelous antique Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) cake stand. The pattern is called “Ribbon Candy” but I have seen it called “Figure 8” and “Double Loop” also. It dates to circa 1885. Bryce Bros.
It measures 9 ¼” in diameter and stands 4 ½” high. There is a ¼” raised edge on the outside of the plate.
The condition of this antique cake stand is excellent. There are no knife scratches, nicks, chips, or cracks. There are a couple of very, very minor rub marks and a straw mark.
Since so many of us use cake stands as tiered serving pieces, we’ve shown this cake stand paired with another EAPG cake stand here in the shop. The price is for ONE cake stand – the top one in the photo.
