Storage a problem? Here’s the answer! This huge walnut 2-door antique Victorian wardrobe will hold just about anything you choose to put in it. And, it’s perfect for country or primitive decorating, Victorian décor,
This is a solidly constructed wardrobe – NOT a knockdown, as many antique Victorian wardrobes are. I won’t pull any punches here – this is a HEAVY piece! But that’s what makes it perfect for so many reasons!
There is no center board in the front, so it’s perfect for use as an entertainment center. It will certainly hold the weight of electronic equipment. With the added bonus of the two bottom drawers, the possibilities are endless!
The wardrobe is made of walnut with two panel doors. There are swiveling wood catches at the top and bottom. The oak front drawers are of dovetail construction and have brass pulls that that are likely replacements. The inner surface is a sort of tongue in grove. The top shelf is original construction but the other shelves are merely planks and are easily removed, if so desired.
The beautiful warm finish is in very nice condition. There are 4 small holes on the cabinet where something was attached long ago. One upper corner of the crown molding has some damage (see photo) and is a bit loose.
