An exceptionally nice Victorian greeting postcard that appears to be part of a series copyrighted by E. Nash, circa 1908. Yes kids, long ago George Washington’s birthday was a separate “holiday” from Lincoln’s birthday and folks enjoyed sending postcard greetings to commemorate the occasion.
In sepiatone, it features a cameo picture of George Washington with art depicting the father of our country taking surveying measurements on a hillside with two Native American scouts.
In excellent to very good+ condition, the corners are only the slightest bit bumped. Not postally used, but with writing on the back.
We scan our postcards on a flatbed scanner to best show the condition of each postcard.
This is an edge to edge card, although the art does have a border.
